ePermit support

Last updated October 23, 2026

We answer by e-mail at [email protected], usually within one business day (Pacific time).

ePermit is a business tool for contractors and permit service companies. It is not a government agency and does not issue permits: questions about a permit decision go to the city or county that issued it.

1. Contact us

ePermit is operated by NameVerse, INC. · [email protected]

Write to [email protected]. To help us answer in one go, include:

  • the app version (in the app: Settings → About), or the browser you use on the web;
  • your company's name, and your role (office, field technician or homeowner);
  • the permit's address or number, if the question is about a permit;
  • what you expected and what happened, with a screenshot if you can.

Never send your password or a sign-in code. We will never ask for them.

2. Frequently asked questions

How do I sign in, and what is two-step sign-in?

Office users sign in with their e-mail address and password, then enter the six-digit code from their authenticator app (or a backup code). You set up two-step sign-in on the web the first time you sign in at epermit.net. After that, the app can use Face ID or Touch ID to open quickly.

I am a field technician. How do I sign in?

Field technicians have no password. Your office sends you a sign-in link by text message or e-mail; open it on your phone and the ePermit app signs you in. On the app's sign-in screen you can also ask for a new link with your phone number, or paste a link you copied.

I am a homeowner. How do I see my permit?

Install ePermit, choose "I'm a homeowner" and enter the e-mail address your contractor has for you: we send you a six-digit code. You can also open the owner link your contractor sent. There is no password and nothing to pay.

I took photos without signal. Are they lost?

No. Photos and check-ins made offline wait on the phone and upload by themselves when the signal comes back. Keep the app installed until it shows "Nothing waiting to upload".

Where do I see inspections?

Office users see every upcoming inspection in the Inspections tab and on each permit; you can add one to your calendar. Homeowners see the inspections of their permit and what to prepare for each.

Why can my contractor not ask me for some photos?

For your safety, a homeowner is only asked for photos taken from the ground. Photos inside an electrical panel, in the attic or on the roof are taken by the contractor's field technician.

How do I pay?

The app sells no digital content and has no in-app purchases. A company admin can pay a permit service company's fee for a permit (real-world work) on Stripe's secure page, from the app or the web; plans are managed on the web at epermit.net. Homeowners never pay in ePermit.

3. Deleting your account or data

  • Office users and field technicians: in the app, Settings → Security → Delete account. Office users confirm with their password and two-step code, or Face ID or Touch ID; field technicians who sign in by link confirm in one alert. Your personal details are deleted at once and you are signed out everywhere. The permits, photos, notes and visits you worked on stay with your company, shown as "Deleted user", because they are part of the permit file a city may ask for.
  • The only admin of a company: make another person an admin first (on the web: Settings → Users), or choose Delete account and close company. The company's data stays available to its other users for 30 days to export, and is then deleted.
  • Homeowners: in the app, Settings → Delete my data. Your sign-ins are deleted and we tell your contractor, who keeps the permit file the city requires.
  • By e-mail: write to [email protected] from the address on the account and say what you want deleted. We confirm the request and complete it within 30 days.

What is deleted and what is kept is explained in the privacy policy.
